EDITA IR AŠ | Yael Rasooly (Izraelis) | Editos Piaf gyvenimo įkvėptas himnas meilei
Guests: EDITH AND ME (France)
A story inspired by French legend Edith Piaf
An anthem for love inspired by the life of French legend Edith Piaf! Based on a true story.
The talented Yaël Rasooly and her puppet Edith (Piaf) come together to present a moving autobiographical story where narrative and song intertwine. They share and merge their voices, bodies, and fragments of their past—stories of life and (unsuccessful) love. It is only natural, then, that on stage, the two women become one, revealing themselves in perfect unison. Without losing their passion or humor, they reclaim their voices and their lives through art.

"In creating this performance, I chose to do what I have always done—both in art and in life—to transform personal pain, trauma, fear, loss, and injustice into art that resonates with others. To tell this story in a way that allows each viewer to recognize a piece of themselves and understand—they are not alone. I wanted to shed light on these themes and spark dialogue.
This is also a true story about how Édith Piaf saved my life.
'Edith and I' is the third part of a trilogy I have been creating for fifteen years, exploring violence against women and children. In this final chapter, I can finally give the leading role to the most essential part of the journey - healing." - Yaël Rasooly, playwright, director, and performer
