Concert “That Wonderful Era…” – a musical journey from Romanticism to early Modernism.
The 13th International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival invites you to a unique evening where various musical periods and styles converge – from the subtle lyricism of Romanticism to the radiance of early Modernism. The concert will feature renowned works encompassing both vocal and instrumental music, drawing listeners into an emotional and profound musical world.
On this special evening, we will hear the magnificent Polish tenor Adam Zdunikowski, who has made a name for himself on prestigious stages around the world, performing with world-class orchestras and conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Noam Sheriff, Jiri Belohlavek, Jonas Kovacs, and others. Throughout his musical journey, Zdunikowski has also collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Renato Bruson, Lucia Aliberti, Alberto Cupido, among others.
Another highlight of the concert will be a performance by the violin and viola virtuoso Maciej Jaroń, who impresses not only with his technique but also with his profound musical interpretations. During the concert, Maciej will also perform notable works by his famous compatriots Henryk Wieniawski and Ignacy Paderewski.
Both artists will be accompanied by one of Poland’s most distinguished pianists, Artur Jaroń, known for his mastery and ability to create a unique musical atmosphere.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
ADAM ZDUNIKOWSKI – Tenor, graduated in singing from the Warsaw Music Academy and in cultural institutions management from Warsaw University. Since 1990, he has been a soloist at the Warsaw National Opera Theater, performing over 70 opera roles and numerous oratorios and cantatas. A laureate of Polish and international singing competitions, he has worked with prominent conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, Nello Santi, Jerzy Semkow, and performed alongside world-stage stars, including Renato Bruson, Lucia Aliberti, and Soile Isokoski. Over his career, A. Zdunikowski has sung on major opera stages worldwide, including Prague's "Narodni Divadlo", Sofia National Opera, Hamburg State Opera, and participated in prestigious projects and premieres. He is also a lecturer at the F. Nowowiejski Music University in Bydgoszcz and the Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Białystok. In 2011, he was awarded the "Gloria Artis" silver medal for his contribution to culture.
MACIEJ JAROŃ is a versatile and talented musician who began studying violin at the age of seven. He completed his music performance studies at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and later pursued a master’s degree at the Menuhin Academy in Switzerland, where he studied under Maxim Vengerov, Oleg Kaskiv, and Ivan Vukcevic. In 2022, he graduated with honors in viola performance from the Academy of Music in Wrocław.
Maciej is a laureate of numerous international competitions and has performed across Europe, Asia, and South America. In addition to his classical work with various orchestras, he also performs klezmer music and has recorded several albums.
Currently, he is a violist with the Holy Cross Philharmonic and teaches violin in Kielce, Poland.
ARTUR JARON was born in Kielce, Poland, and graduated from the Krakow Music Academy with Professor Irena Sijalova-Vogel, later completing his master's degree at the Odessa Music Conservatory with Professor Anatoliy Karadshov. He further honed his skills with legendary piano teachers Vera Gornastaev and Giunter Ludwig. A. Jaron is known as a soloist and chamber music performer, having played with many famous symphonic orchestras, including Sinfonia Varsovia, the Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra “Amadeus,” the Polish Radio and Television Orchestra, and more. He often performs abroad in countries such as Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia, Ukraine, and others. As a chamber musician, he has performed with Teresa Żylis-Gara, Malgorzata Walewska, Wieslaw Ochman, and Adam Zdunikowski. He also accompanies violin soloists such as Liudmila Worobec-Witek, Saskia Szreder, Bartek Nizioł, and Henryk Wieniawski. In 2005, he performed at Carnegie Hall in New York.
A. Jaron leads the music college in Kielce and has received numerous awards for his musical achievements and activities. He has made several recordings, including the rarely performed Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Piano and Violin Concerto with Ludmila Vorobec-Witek.
The XIII International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival is part of the anniversary program "Čiurlionis 150".
The festival is organized by the public institution "Klasika LT".
