Concert "In Čiurlionis' World" – a journey into the artist’s soul with pianist Rokas Zubovas.

At the XIII International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival, an exceptional concert will be presented, featuring the works of the legendary Lithuanian composer M. K. Čiurlionis. Pianist Rokas Zubovas, a renowned performer and Čiurlionis' great-grandson, will guide the audience through an emotionally rich music-literature program, inviting them on a romantic journey, recalling the composer’s time in Palanga – his love for Sofija and his walks by the seaside.

R. Zubovas will perform only works by M. K. Čiurlionis for piano, revealing the emotional depth, richness of colors, and mystical symbolism that became a hallmark of the composer’s works. The concert program will provide the audience with the opportunity not only to enjoy the music but also to hear personal insights about Čiurlionis' life, worldview, and creative journey, shared by the performer himself. Rokas Zubovas’ stories about his great-grandfather and his work will reveal new, previously unexplored aspects of the greatest Lithuanian composer’s music. During the concert, a new vinyl record of Čiurlionis’ works, recorded by Rokas Zubovas, will also be presented.

"In Čiurlionis’ World" is more than just a concert. It is a journey into Čiurlionis’ world, where music, history, and family traditions intertwine.

The XIII International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival is part of the anniversary program "Čiurlionis 150".

The festival is organized by the public institution "Klasika LT".
