Premiere! Dance Opera "The Creation of the World"

Čiurlionis' paintings come to life through music, dance, and visualizations.

This has never been done before in Lithuania – specially for the XIII International M. K. Čiurlionis Music Festival, the stage giants and the "Angel's Paths" virtual reality creators' team have united their forces to invite you into the world of the Lithuanian genius and see through his eyes how our planet was born. In the premiere of this extraordinary project, the stories of the thirteen paintings from Čiurlionis' "The Creation of the World" cycle will come to life.

Legendary saxophonist Petras Vyšniauskas, soprano Gunta Gelgotė, mezzo-soprano Nora Petročenko, piano virtuoso Aleksandra Žvirblytė, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, dancers from the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and choreographer and director Martynas Rimeikis will fill the Palanga Concert Hall with the energy of compositions by Jonas Jurkūnas and contemporary dance. This energy will be further enhanced by the moving projections of the brilliant paintings created by the "Angel's Paths" team.
