The ARKADA DUO ensemble – violinist Karolina Beinarytė-Palekauskienė and pianist Daiva Stulgytė – has been performing together for four years. During this time, the ensemble has given numerous concerts and prepared three concert programs. Their fourth program is titled "All Roads Lead to ROMAnticism." It focuses on the turn of the 19th to 20th centuries, a period when many new directions and styles emerged in music. The program will feature music from the Romantic and Impressionist styles, as well as the music of the less frequently performed composer Erich Wolfgang Korngold, whose style is difficult to describe in a single word. Korngold, who lived in the United States, created music that intertwines various styles and is highly theatrical and colorful.
