''Žvaigždžių sonata''. Johan Randvere (fortepijonas, Estija)
Concert "Sonata of the Stars" - an unforgettable musical journey with pianist Johan Randvere (Estonia)
Johan Randvere is a pianist whose talent and charisma have conquered not only Estonia, but also the whole world. A regular performer in prestigious venues around the world, such as New York's Carnegie Hall, Randvere is renowned not only for his solo performances, but also as an outstanding chamber music artist.
During the 13th International M. K. Čiurlionis Festival, he will perform rarely performed classical works, with a special highlight being M. K. Čiurlionis' Sonata in F major, which is likely to be performed in Palanga for the first time. This extraordinary piece, like all of Čiurlionis' work, combines music with visual art, creating landscapes of sound, emotion and colour that are perfectly suited to the seaside environment.
The programme will be complemented by works by other composers: the modern and dynamic Sonata by Erkki-Sven Tüür, the love duet from Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss and Percy Grainger, Maurice Ravel's delicate Pavane and the playful Water Play, and Frederic Chopin's passionate Fantasie in F Minor, Op. 49.
