The Laima Chocolate Museum is located in the heart of Latvia in capital city Riga. The Laima Chocolate Museum is located in the old "Laima" chocolate factory, the building built in 1939 creates a special aura. The Latvian architect Staņislavs Borbels, known in Latvia and the world, also participated in the design of the building, who, together with Kārli Zāli, participated in the development of the Freedom Monument project.
In the "Laima" chocolate museum, you can enjoy chocolate with all your senses - see, taste, hear and feel... How? You will find out when you visit the museum!
Chocolate making has always been shrouded in mystery. In addition, those who do not like chocolate are sought with fire. Therefore, it goes without saying that people not only crave to taste the excellent masterpieces of "Laima" chocolate, but increasingly want to look behind the scenes of the miraculous creation of chocolate.
The museum invites:
• taste a hot chocolate drink and find out how chocolate is made;
• look at the ingredients of chocolate and learn the differences between types of chocolate;
• learn unheard of facts and enjoy a journey in the world of chocolate;
• study the packaging of sweets of the last century;
• touch the wall of cocoa beans and find out how many years the cocoa tree grows;
• meet at the legendary "Laima" clock;
• get to know the museum's oldest exhibit and see an old bean grinding machine;
• to find out in which countries it is possible to buy "Laimas" products.
The creative chocolate workshop - an opportunity to make and taste your own special chocolates and take them with you, packed in a neat box. The chocolate workshop will appeal to both big and small foodies. It is available by prior application.
